Icynene^® is HFC-free - Often used as a blowing agent in other foam insulation, HFCs are considered to be high Global Warming Potential (GWP) gases that contribute to greenhouse gas emissions and ozone depletion.

Renewable Castor Oil Content – New ICYNENE LD-R-50™ is a climate-friendly, light density spray foam insulation and air barrier that is responsibly made using castor oil and allows a building to be insulated and air-sealed for energy conservation while minimizing environmental impact.

Moisture Management - As a qualified air barrier, Icynene^® helps reduce the movement of airborne moisture through the building envelope along with potential problems such as condensation and resulting mold growth. Reducing excess moisture also helps to extend the life of the building materials and the systems within it.

Energy Efficiency – By minimizing air leakage and conductive heat flow, Icynene^® can contribute up to 50% in monthly energy savings.

Materials Usage – Icynene^® insulates and air-seals in one step without the need for extra sealing material. An open-cell material, excess Icynene^® is easily compacted reducing construction waste.

Whole Building Design Strategy – Icynene^® adheres to and integrates well with other building components. In attic and crawlspace applications, it creates a conditioned area for ductwork and air handlers, allowing the HVAC equipment to operate more efficiently.
