 | Background Ken Wiggers of Prairie Foam Insulators in Huxley, Iowa sprayed a house ceiling near St. Mary's, Iowa. The ceiling of the house was extremely complex, consisting of 18,469 board feet of awkward shapes. Problem The complicated ceiling structure would have made the use of fiberglass an expensive and time-consuming option. Installing an effective air barrier over and above the fiberglass insulation would have further increased the costs and time required to complete the project. Solution/Results When sprayed, Icynene® filled every nook and cranny in no time, taking approximately 30 hours to complete.
